8D TAIWAN TAITUNG KENTING WONDERS

• Assemble at Changi International Airport to check in for your flight to Taipei, Taiwan’s capital city. Upon arrival, meet your local guide and transfer to Jiufen Old Street, a narrow alleyway lined with small food stalls, tea houses, souvenir shops, and pottery stores nestled in a quaint mountain town. This evening, binge eat your way through Keelung Miaokou Night Market, famous among locals for its abundance of fresh seafood and emphasis on serving up quality Taiwanese dishes.

• Take a flight from Taipei Songshan Airport to Taitung, a city known for its magnificent landscapes and rich ecology. Upon arrival, proceed to visit one of Taitung’s most popular tourist attractions, Sanxiantai, a geologically rich and historically significant island that provides great photo opportunities, as well as the ability to quickly walk around the island and learn about its unique coastal ecology. Stop by Fuli Flower Sea where you get to see huge straw statues standing among seas of seasonal flowers. Get on a bicycle and ride along Brown Boulevard, also known as ‘Mr. Brown Avenue’, a popular cycling route through picturesque rice paddies field. ## The much-anticipated ‘Taiwan International Hot Air Balloon Festival’ takes place every year in July and August on the Luye Highlands. You could consider getting up early to experience the hot air balloon, at your own expense. ##

• Proceed to Luanshan Forest Culture Museum, a museum without walls that has flourished into a space where Bunun culture is lived and shared. Hike through the forest with your guide, see the ancient grove of “walking trees”, learn more about the locals’ traditional ways of life and have a mountain feast prepared using only traditional method. Thereafter, visit Peinan Archeological Park for the largest and most complete prehistoric settlement ever discovered in Taiwan. (Note: The indoor exhibition hall closes on Monday but the outdoor area remain open for visit.) End the day by visiting Taitung Tourism Night Market, which features a variety of local foods and entertaining gaming stalls. (Note: On Sundays, change to visit Siwei Night Market. On Monday-Wednesday, change to visit Tiehua Music Village.)

• Embark on a journey to Pintung, which is situated on the southernmost tip of Taiwan. Visit Kenting National Park, known for its tropical climate and sunshine, lush vegetations, white sandy beaches and beautiful corals. Explore Maobitou Park, a coral and limestone cliff area with viewing platform that offers amazing panoramic views of the Hengchun Peninsula. Experience the beauty of nature as you gaze upon majestic cliffs, mountains, grasslands, and the vast expanse of the sea and sky at Longpan Park. View Hengchun Ancient City Gate, one of Taiwan's more well-preserved historical buildings and onwards to Kaohsiung, a revitalized port city. End the day by visiting the popular Liuhe Night Market.

• Depart to Nantou, a captivating city known for its stunning natural beauty. Be amazed by the uniquely designed Xiangshan Visitor Centre which has a wood-patterned exterior and wings that stretch like human arms embracing the earth. Take a short stroll to Xiangshan Scenic Lookout for the captivating aerial views of Sun Moon Lake. Next, explore vibrant Ita Thao Shopping District before we conclude the day with a visit to Fengjia Night Market, one of the most famous and bustling night markets in Taichung.

• Proceed to Hsinchu, the city of “New Bamboo” now famous for its Science-based Industrial Park. Explore bustling Neiwan Old Street with views of the Neiwan Station and picturesque Neiwan Suspension Bridge. Then, learn how to handmade a buttery crumbly dough filled with tangy pineapple filling at the Taiwanese Pineapple Cake DIY Experience. Embark on Beitou Exploration Walk starting from iconic Beitou Historic Station, through Beitou Park with Taiwan’s first green-built Beitou Library, visit Beitou Hot Spring Museum to learn about the area's history before ending at Thermal Valley for a scenic view of the natural hot spring steam. Enjoy a wide range of local foods at Shihlin Night Market, Taipei's largest and best-known night market

• Visit Songshan Cultural & Creative Park, an old cigarette factory converted to a cultural center of creativity with diverse exhibitions & workshops. View Taipei 101, the most iconic buildings in Taiwan! (Note: Ticket to Observation Deck at own expense.) Proceed to Ximending, the mecca for youth culture and a famous shopping district in Taipei with amazing street art, quirky restaurants and cafes.
• Note: No Taipei overnight stay on Day 7 for 8D6N ITINERARY and will transfer to airport for your flight home.
